Explore the work of top photographers and up-and-coming talent from Belgium and beyond at the 2nd AntwerpPhoto Festival. This summer visitors can take in exhibitions by Jimmy Kets, Erwin Olaf, Steve McCurry, Iconobelge III, the Prix Carmingnac and the graduation projects of St-Lucas Antwerp.
Net zoals in 2018 is het Loodswezengebouw op het Antwerpse Eilandje de uitvalsbasis van het AntwerpPhoto Festival. Vroeger loodste dit historische gebouw schepen in en uit de haven, nu wordt het tijdelijk weer opengesteld voor het grootste fotofestival van Vlaanderen. Maar niet voor lang meer. Eind dit jaar wordt het gebouw gerenoveerd tot het nieuwe Vlaams Culinair Centrum. AntwerpPhoto Festival 2021 is dus de laatste kans om het Loodswezengebouw te bewonderen voor de renovatie.
Antwerpen ademt fotografie. Daarom hoort de fotowedstrijd ‘Zicht op Antwerpen’ bij het AntwerpPhoto Festival. Iedereen kon zijn beste foto’s van deze stad insturen. Vanaf 19 augustus kan je de winnende foto's gratis komen bewonderen op de fotomuur buiten aan het Loodswezengebouw. Ontdek hier wie in de prijzen viel.
On 26 August at 19h, Sébastien Van Malleghem, one of the ICONOBELGE photographers at AntwerpPhoto, will present his new book Allfather during a lecture at the festival.
